An original collector's item from the renowned Munkegaard School in Copenhagen, designed by Arne Jacobsen in the 1950s. The set consists of a school desk and matching chair model 3105. The moulded plywood tabletop with Formica surface rests on a tubular steel frame that is not only lightweight and durable, but also matches the characteristic insect-like legs of the Munkegaard chair in terms of design. This design combines functional stability with a clear, sculptural form language that made Jacobsen so famous for his school furniture series. The set is in good condition and shows a beautiful, age-related patina that underlines its authentic vintage character.
