The market for design classics has grown steadily in recent years. Over the past 20 years, Okay Art has grown organically with this process. A passion for beauty and an enduring curiosity for its creators have always been our driving force. Proven design classics are as much a part of our knowledge base as new discoveries that reflect the zeitgeist. The history of furniture design from the 1930s to the 1980s may seem to have been written long ago, but there is still much to discover. Scandinavian design, for example, has only recently experienced a major boom in the vintage sector.

Okay Art has been based in Basel with a showroom and online shop since 1999. Our passion for vintage design furniture and objects, the craftsmanship, and the stories behind each design piece drive us. Designer furniture is not only a good and long-term investment, but it is also very sustainable.
Visit us in the showroom, the "storage hall" in the St. Johann district of Basel. All our furniture and objects are on display. We are happy to advise you personally on site.

Our workshops are at your service.
Designer furniture can also be restored. We love furniture, so we care for, repair, and revive any beautiful treasures. With period-appropriate tools that our experienced craftsmen know how to use, we lovingly and with great expertise transform design classics into everyday usable objects. An object that is no longer needed can find a new owner through our careful handling and be sustainably integrated into everyday life. With our Europe-wide network, we source selected pieces and, if necessary, refurbish them in our workshops. The use of original materials and our expertise transform true collector's items into design classics suitable for everyday use.

When models feel comfortable with us and the pictures look as if they were taken from real life, our stylish atmosphere is usually the reason for this. We offer suitable 20th-century props for your shoot at your location or in our showroom. We can put together suitable background objects for photography, architecture, and real estate sales.
