Benny Anette Motzfeldt Vase, Norway, 60s

Very beautiful and expressive glass vase in an intense yellow, with a signature on the base. Particularly appealing are the numerous authentic air bubbles as well as the characteristic cloud-like structures in the glass, which give Motzfeldt's works a special depth and vibrancy and are among the recurring features of her formal language. Benny Anette Motzfeldt is one of the significant Norwegian glass artists of the 20th century. She worked for Hadeland Glassverk, Randsfjord Glassverk and the PLUS glass workshop in Fredrikstad, among others. She became known for her experimental approach to glass, color, air bubbles and organic structures. A very decorative and characteristic example of Scandinavian glass art. Signed on the base, in very good condition.
