The Saarinen Womb Chair, model No 70 was designed in 1946 by Eero Saarinen for Knoll International. This model here, was manufactured in the 1950's and is in a wonderful all original vintage condition with a woolen Leinen and a black Metal base. The Womb chair was designed at Florence Knoll's request for a "chair that was like a basket full of pillows - something she could really curl up in." The chair counts to the most famous designs until today.
