This exceptional sideboard was designed in the 1960s by Hans J. Wegner and manufactured by the traditional Danish manufacturer Ry Møbler. It is the RY 26 model, a prime example of the synthesis of Scandinavian craftsmanship, functional clarity and material-appropriate design for which Wegner's work is appreciated worldwide.

Made of solid oak with carefully matched oak veneer, the piece displays a subtle balance between construction and aesthetics. The horizontal grain emphasises the length and tranquillity of the composition, while precise joints and minimalist details underscore the excellence of the craftsmanship.

The interior is thoughtfully organised – with drawers, shelves and sliding doors that create a clear functional order. The design follows Wegner's architectural principle of ‘honest construction’: no superfluous elements, every detail serves structure, function and beauty at the same time.
