These melamine card and note boxes were designed in the 70s by Swiss designer and interior architect Jürg Lüber. With their consistently reduced, cylindrical form, they embody the futuristic Space Age aesthetic of that era, combining functional Swiss design with a clear, geometric design language. The containers consist of two precisely interlocking elements. The upper part serves as a flush-fitting lid, while the lower half was designed for storing round note slips or index cards. Due to the enclosed form, the everyday office object is transformed into an almost sculptural desk accessory. During this period, Jürg Lüber designed various office accessories, including filing systems and waste bins, which follow the same purist design philosophy. The note boxes are characteristic examples of 1970s Swiss design, defined by functionality, modern material choice, and timeless formal clarity.
