The conical wastebasket by Martin Åberg for Servex, manufactured in Sweden in the 60s, is a fine example of the functional and elegant Scandinavian design of the mid-century era. Its simple, conical shape is effectively accentuated by the warm rosewood, whose vibrant grain lends this everyday object a high-quality and timeless appeal. The clean lines and harmonious proportions reflect the design ideals of Scandinavian modernism, in which functionality and aesthetics form a balanced whole.
