An extraordinary set of six Brazilian chairs in the striking brutalist style of the 60s and 70s. The powerful design language is impressively underscored by the solid frames made of fine Rio rosewood, giving the chairs their distinctive presence.
The chairs have been reupholstered with high-quality leather. The elegantly shaped backrests made of laminated wood create a striking contrast to the solid wooden frames. Another distinctive feature is the screw joints, which have been deliberately left exposed; as a design element, they emphasize the structural honesty and architectural brutalism of the design.
A rare and expressive ensemble with exceptional materiality and an authentic Brazilian design character. In very good condition.
