Elegant set of two wall lamps designed by Japanese designer Motoko Ishii for the German lighting manufacturer Staff in the 1960s. Ishii is regarded as one of the most important lighting designers of the 20th century and is known for her clear, functional yet atmospheric design language. The lamps impress with their understated design and harmonious light effect, typical of the experimental lighting concepts of this era. The combination of Japanese design sensibility and German manufacturing quality gives the pair a distinctive presence. In good vintage condition.
