American table lamp, 50s

This object by an unknown designer impresses with its consistently minimalist and functional design. The clearly geometric housing is made of folded, black-painted sheet metal, giving the design a reduced, almost architectural appearance. The precise lines and deliberate omission of decorative elements place the focus on construction, material, and function. A characteristic example of objective modern design, whose timeless formal language integrates effortlessly into various interiors.
