This expressive ceramic table lamp by André Freymond was created in Switzerland in the 60s and combines a minimalist design language with a particularly intense color effect. The striking, cylindrical ceramic base is finished in a deep cobalt blue glaze, the vibrant surface of which gives the simple body a distinct sense of depth and presence. A charming contrast is provided by the light, cream-colored neck piece and the textured fabric shade, which diffuses the light softly and atmospherically. The lamp is a characteristic example of post-war Swiss studio ceramics, where individual treatment of material and glaze is paired with a clear, functional design. The combination of bold cobalt blue, understated geometry, and the light-colored shade gives the piece a timeless yet unmistakable appeal.
