The work shown here was created in 1966 for the portfolio "La Lune en Rodage", edited by Carlo Laszlo, a significant collection featuring works by leading artists of the European avant-garde.
The Swiss artist and industrial designer Andreas Christen (1936–2006) became internationally known in particular for his “Monoforms”—monochromatic white reliefs of great formal clarity. The color white played a central role in his work, as it enabled him to achieve a precise spatial perception of form.
This silkscreen print, “Untitled,” 1966, is signed, dated, and numbered on the reverse (edition of 230). Sheet size: 28 × 28 cm. Framed in a handmade, white-glazed wooden frame. Height: 3 cm Length: 44 cm Width: 43.5 cm
