Very rare Ben Swildens table lamp designed and made for the French manufacturer Verre Lumière in 1970. Verre Lumière produced lamps for many famous French designers and also distributed lamps of the Italian manufacturer Fontana Arte in France. Thanks to prestigious commissions such as George Pompidou's private salon at the Palais de l'Élysée in Paris and the French Embassy in Brazil, as well as their exceptional technical skills, Verre Lumière soon became the most prestigious and innovative manufacturer of lamps in France in the second half of the 20th century. The same model was exhibited and sold at this year's Design Miami.
