A solid pine stool by Charlotte Perriand with a sturdy, rounded seat. The wood features a beautiful, naturally developed patina. The “Sandoz” model was designed around 1955 and was also used by Perriand in her own chalet in Méribel. In 1962, she used this type of stool to furnish the Swiss pharmaceutical company Sandoz Laboratories, from which the current name “Sandoz” is derived. This particular piece was originally located in an apartment at the Arc 1600 ski resort in Les Arcs, France—a resort co-designed by Perriand around the 60s.
