Fantoni high end desk, Italy 60s

An exceptional desk by Fantoni S.p.A., Italy, from the 60s. A particularly elegant and exquisitely crafted example of postwar modern Italian furniture design. The clean, architectural construction combines a finely proportioned base made of chrome-plated steel tubing and metal with a generous tabletop veneered in teak. The drawers are crafted from solid teak, while the body is finished in gray Kelco. The finely crafted aluminum handles deserve special attention; with their minimalist design, they blend seamlessly into the overall concept and underscore the piece’s high design quality. The balanced combination of materials, the precise details, and the elegant proportions lend the desk a timeless presence. The desk was part of our rental inventory in recent years and has now been completely and professionally restored in our own workshop. Carefully refurbished for sale, the piece is now in excellent condition.
