This is a highly authentic Bakongo Vili figurine from the Congo, Africa. The Bakongo people are an ethnic group in Central Africa with a rich tradition in crafting wooden sculptures and other forms of artisanal craftsmanship. Each figurine is unique, displaying distinct features and characteristics. This particular figurine originates from the Hösli collection in Basel and was acquired during the 1930s.
