Elegant umbrella stand featuring an aluminium frame with exposed screw fittings and mahogany plywood inserts. Its clear geometric construction and combination of contrasting materials are characteristic of the functional yet refined Italian design of the period.
This particular piece has an interesting provenance: it reportedly stood in the entrance hall of the Moscatelli family home. We acquired the piece from an Italian estate clearance company, who confirmed this provenance to us.
In good vintage condition, carefully restored.
