These four original “Leggera” chairs were designed by Gio Ponti for Cassina in the 60s and are among the most iconic examples of Italian Mid-Century design. The design is based on the refinement of traditional Italian craftsmanship, combined with an exceptionally clean and modern aesthetic. The characteristic Ticino cane weaving perfectly complements the delicate wooden construction, giving the chairs a warm and natural appearance. Ponti succeeded in creating a piece of furniture that is simultaneously lightweight, durable, and aesthetically refined.
