Hand-carved wooden sculpture by the Asante people of Ghana. The Asante are among the most significant art-historically important cultures in West Africa, renowned for their long-standing tradition of wood carving with a strong symbolic character. This figure is distinguished by its powerful, abstracted form language and its clear compositional structure. The natural aging of the wood, along with visible traces of use, enhances the authentic character of the piece. In good vintage condition.

Recommendation for buying vintage furniture.
A design furniture piece from that era is different from a reproduction.
