Hans Gugelot M125 body, Bofinger 60s

Very beautiful and formally reduced body from the M125 furniture system, designed by Hans Gugelot and manufactured by the German furniture company Bofinger in the 60s. The design is characterized by its consistently objective design language and a combination of functionality, industrial production and precise detailing that is characteristic of Gugelot. The outer edges of the body are covered with a dark, exotic walnut veneer, which forms an elegant contrast to the light surfaces. The rest of the body has a durable off-white plastic surface. This choice of material not only ensures a particularly easy-care surface, but also helps ensure that the original color has been remarkably well preserved over the decades. The interior is made of high-quality solid beech wood and complemented with precisely folded metal elements. The metal handles are also carefully designed and, with their simple, elegant shape, fit perfectly into the reduced overall design of the furniture. The modular furniture system M125 is one of Hans Gugelot's important designs and exemplifies the functionalist design approach of German post-war modernism. The body is in exceptionally good vintage condition. This model is rarely found on the market today, especially as a single, compact body.
