Italian small square table, 60s

Exceptional, handcrafted side table made of rosewood, manufactured in Italy and inspired by traditional Japanese furniture culture. The square table is characterized by its particularly low-profile design and clear, minimalist design language, reminiscent of classic Japanese tea tables. Its harmonious proportions and meticulous craftsmanship give it a calm, almost meditative aura. A special feature is the removable tabletop, which can also be used as a serving tray thanks to the integrated handles. The handles, legs, and the entire base structure are made of solid rosewood. The expressive grain and warm tones of the wood emphasize the high-quality character of this piece of furniture. The table has been fully restored. All wooden surfaces were carefully sanded, then re-oiled, and finally waxed. This brings out the natural beauty of the rosewood to its best advantage. An exceptional piece of furniture that combines Italian craftsmanship with the simple aesthetics of Japanese design.
