This expressive vase comes from the Bornholm ceramics factory Michael Andersen & Son and impresses with its striking ornamentation and exceptional glaze. Harmoniously coordinated colors form a lively, yet balanced pattern with a great decorative effect. There is the manufacturer's mark on the bottom. The vase is in very good condition.
The object was designed by the renowned ceramic artist Marianne Starck (1931–2007), one of the most important Scandinavian artists of the 20th century. She worked as artistic director at Michael Andersen & Son from 1955 to 1993 and continues to enjoy international recognition for her groundbreaking ceramic work.
