Table lamp by Nils Kähler, Kähler Ceramics, Denmark, 1960s. This table lamp was designed by Nils Kähler and manufactured in Herman August Kähler's ceramics workshop in Denmark in the 1960s. The lamp base features a characteristic incised zigzag pattern, while a wide, unglazed strip at the top provides an exciting contrast. The incised initials “HAK” (Herman August Kähler) and “Nils” for the designer are located on the bottom. The lamp is fitted with a new lampshade and is in very good vintage condition. A beautiful example of 1960s Scandinavian design craftsmanship, combining simplicity, honesty of materials, and formal precision.
