This extraordinary coat rack was designed in the 1950s by German designer Olaf von Bohr for Italian manufacturer Bonacina. The combination of woven bamboo and turned mahogany gives the piece a timeless elegance and reflects the high level of craftsmanship of Italian artisans. The delicate structure of the coat rack showcases the characteristic bamboo weave technique typical of Bonacina. The turned mahogany elements complement the design harmoniously and emphasise the value of the piece. The coat stand is in very good vintage condition and shows only slight signs of age-related wear, which underline its authentic character. An outstanding example of Italian mid-century design that combines functionality and aesthetic sophistication.
