These two armchairs, crafted from solid birch and designed by Grete Jalk in the 1960s, embody the timeless elegance of Scandinavian mid-century design. With their gently curved forms, clean lines, and the warm character of the wood, they exude both a welcoming atmosphere and understated sophistication. Thanks to their balanced proportions, they can be combined in many ways and blend harmoniously into various interior styles—whether in the living room, a reading nook, or the office. The cushions have been professionally reupholstered, while the original cushion frames and spring cores have been preserved. They are covered in a high-quality, hand-woven wool fabric from Denmark, which further emphasizes the authentic character and material quality. Each armchair features two cushions, offering comfortable seating. The wooden frames have been carefully restored and freshly oiled, beautifully highlighting the natural grain of the birch. Overall, the armchairs are in good vintage condition with slight, age-related signs of wear that underscore their authentic character.
