This elegant FD516 club table was designed in the 1950s by renowned Danish designers Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for France & Søn. The clearly proportioned teak top rests on a finely crafted, lightweight base that embodies the typical lightness and filigree precision of Danish mid-century design. The table also features a woven shelf that is both functional and aesthetic, emphasising the clean lines of the construction. The table has been carefully re-sanded and oiled and is in good vintage condition, retaining its original materiality and design language. An outstanding example of Danish furniture design from the 1950s, combining timeless elegance, high-quality materials and precision craftsmanship.
