This impressive table lamp by Pia Guidinetti is an authentic example of Italian lighting design from the 1960s and reflects the spirit of the legendary Stilnovo era – a time when technological innovation and elegant design merged to create a new, modern lighting aesthetic.

The housing combines refined nickel and glass to create a composition of rare clarity and sophistication. The lower base and upper cover are made of satin-finished nickel, forming a calm, architectural frame for the glass body that forms the centre of the lamp.

A special feature are the two separately controllable lighting options:

•     a light source in the shade, which provides a softly diffused, warm room light,
•     and an internal light source in the glass body, which illuminates the housing from within, creating an atmospheric, sculptural play of light.

This dual lighting opens up a wide range of possible applications – from subtle ambient lighting to a precise, directional lighting mood.

The lampshade, made of natural-coloured raw silk, has been newly manufactured and harmonises perfectly with the cool metallic surfaces and translucent glass. Its fine structure emphasises the elegant lines and at the same time ensures a pleasantly soft light diffusion.

The lamp has been professionally rewired, cleaned and preserved. It is in excellent vintage condition – technically and visually almost flawless.
