Elegant Italian daybed from the 1950s, designed by Tito Agnoli. The delicate bamboo frame impresses with its light, natural design language and timeless aesthetic. The red mattress was specially made for this daybed and forms a beautiful contrast to the warm bamboo frame. A characteristic piece of Italian mid-century design. The custom-made mattress features a piping around the edges and is upholstered in a two-tone fabric, one side of which is red with a white pattern, while the other is white with a red texture. Eight buttons on each side, in a color contrasting with the base color, emphasize the meticulous craftsmanship and give the mattress a special design refinement. A cushion made especially for the daybed from pure cotton fabric completes the ensemble. A specially fitted slatted base ensures a stable surface. The rattan weave has been replaced for additional stability. These carefully executed details combine the original character of the design with contemporary comfort and functionality. In very good vintage condition.
