This 60s Danish design classic is the "Gourmet" pepper mill, designed by Kristian Vedel and produced by Torben Ørskov & Co., Denmark. Crafted from melamine, the pepper mill impresses with its consistently minimalist, sculptural design language. A distinctive feature is the wide, ergonomically shaped turning head, whose striking silhouette recalls a stylized mushroom or cork, giving the design its unmistakable expression. The combination of functionality, clean proportions, and a material that was modern for its time makes the "Gourmet" pepper mill a characteristic example of 1960s Danish mid-century design and an object that is as functional as it is decorative.
