Traditional carrying basket from the Mentawai Islands, dating from the 1930s. The basket was made using traditional weaving techniques from natural materials and was originally used to transport everyday items and harvest goods.
The simple, functional shape is complemented by an expressive, authentic patina that reflects decades of use. A historical object with cultural significance and decorative presence. In good vintage condition.

Recommendation for buying vintage furniture.
A design furniture piece from that era is different from a reproduction.
The furniture was perfect in our booth — we will always rent with you when we are in Basel!
