Decorative ceramic serving plate / cheese plate in the French Mid-Century style (1950s/1960s), attributed to Vallauris. The shape is modeled as a raffia/straw relief (trompe l’œil appearance), which creates a distinctly summery “Riviera” aesthetic. There is a bamboo handle in the middle as a handle - ideal for serving cheese, antipasti or pastries.
The design is sometimes associated with a “Jacques Tati / Mon Oncle” Riviera theme (keyword: beach/hat motif). In very good condition.
