FK 74407 ceiling lamp, designed by Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm, manufactured by Nordisk Solar, Denmark, 1960s: Large-format (XL) ceiling lamp with five ring-shaped, white-painted aluminum shades that are slightly curved towards the center to avoid direct view of the bulb while at the same time producing an evenly diffused, glare-free light.

The design is exemplary of the Scandinavian design attitude of the 1960s, in which functional clarity, constructive logic and a reduced formal language are the focus. Fabricius & Kastholm, who are particularly known for their architectural furniture designs, consistently transfer this attitude to the area of ​​lighting: the staggered shades create precise lighting and give the object a calm, almost graphic presence.
